About the Workshop
The one-day workshop on “Future Skills for Sustainable Development” was designed to equip undergraduate students from diverse disciplines with exposure to sustainability, future skills, and innovation-led opportunities.
The IIT Bombay-Honeywell Centre of Excellence for Future Skills & Innovation conducted a workshop series on Future Skills for Sustainable Development and the Sustainability Innovation Challenge across Maharashtra.
The programme introduced undergraduate students to sustainability challenges, innovation thinking, and practical solution development through structured workshops and idea submissions.
The series combined orientation, awareness, and innovation challenge activities to help students connect sustainability themes with implementable solutions.

As part of the workshop series, IHCFSI invited student teams to submit innovative, practical, and scalable solutions addressing sustainability challenges. The activity encouraged students to connect ideas with real-world impact.
The challenge encouraged team-based problem solving, interdisciplinary thinking, and practical solution development.
Each team consisted of 3 to 4 students.
Students were encouraged to form diverse teams.
Teams submitted a 2-page write-up with solution details.
Originality, impact, implementation, and incubation potential were reviewed.
Top teams received cash prizes and certificates.
