IIT Bombay-Honeywell Centre of Excellence for Future Skills & Innovation is envisioned as a national, execution-oriented platform that accelerates sustainability-driven transformation through skill development, research, entrepreneurship, and ecosystem engagement. By combining capacity building, innovation, and collaborative partnerships, the Centre aims to translate sustainability ambitions into measurable impact.
The Sustainable Innovation Hackathon 2026 is designed as a multi-phase competition to bring creative and innovative ideas from students and early-stage innovators to build impactful sustainability solutions.
It provides a platform to present ideas, demonstrate prototypes, and develop solutions aligned with emerging sustainability priorities.
Through structured mentoring, the hackathon aims to accelerate scalable and impactful solutions for sustainability-related challenges and societal benefit.
Innovate to solve real-world sustainability challenges on the following themes through Product, Policy, Process, with technology, research, and entrepreneurship.
We welcome students passionate about sustainability, innovation, and real-world problem solving through impactful ideas.
Open to students enrolled in Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD programs at any recognised academic institution.
The team size should be a minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 4
The team should have one faculty member as a mentor
The hackathon is designed to identify promising startup ideas, strengthen participant capacity, and build a stronger industry–academia innovation ecosystem.
Seed Grant support of up to ₹ 50 Lakh.
